In 1994, Becky began her own billing service while living in rural Northern California where she was billing for a family practice physician and a chiropractor. She then moved to Sonoma, California and began working for Medaphis Corporation where she furthered her knowledge of medical billing and coding practices, specializing in billing for Anesthesiologists. In 1999, she was recruited to Utah to bill for a pain management practice where she remained until opening Medical Billing Management in February 2009. Becky is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the American Academy of Professional Coders and is the co-founder of the local St. George AAPC chapter. She was recently elected to serve as the 2018 Vice-President and looks forward to working with her colleagues to bring more awareness of the challenges facing billers and coders in the year to come.
Kelli is our newest member, joining us in 2015. She moved from Salt Lake City to be part of our team. She worked for a pain management practice while attending school full time. She has her Associate’s degree and will be completing her Business degree in May 2016. She is also CPC certified with AAPC. Kelli is the account rep for our Pain Management practice as well as surgery and office visit coding. She applies her ongoing education to help with continued policy developments for our office in addition to creating our newsletters.
Karen has been with the company since 2009. Prior to joining our team,
Karen worked as a paralegal for 17 years in California. She moved to St.
George in 2007 and started working as an MA in an OB/GYN office. This
experience has heightened her knowledge in her quest to become CPC
certified. Karen’s current focus is to our OB/GYN, Family Practice and
Physical Therapist clients.
Kathy joined our team in 2014. She worked in manufacturing for many years until that company closed. She already had a Business degree but returned to school for training in medical billing. When she completed school she began billing for an oncology doctor. Currently, she is the account rep for our OB/GYN clients.
Kaylee is our newest Team member. She joined our team at the end of 2016. Kaylee left the beautiful state of Hawaii to work in St. George. She is a member of the AAPC and is currently working on transitioning from apprentice to certified coder. Kaylee holds a Bachelor degree from BYU (Provo) and is the account representative for our OB/GYN accounts and is also working on coding for surgery and office visits. Kaylee is also the proud owner of the feline office mascot “Rogue One”. Kaylee has been elected the 2018 Education Officer for the St George AAPC Chapter as well.
Kari began working for us in 2010. She attended Dixie State University
where she graduated with her Associate’s. From there, she transferred to
SUU where she will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice
in December 2017. Although not actively working in the office while she
finishes her schooling, it is her mother’s hope to one day have her back
in the family business.
